It’s been a while since we looked back over the past year in websites and showcased some of our projects from that time.
We build websites for all sorts of people, businesses, big and small, community organisations and charities. One such organisation is Somerset Community Foundation. They are a charity dedicated to strengthening local communities, creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion. The Foundation’s biggest challenge is getting across the work they do as it is so varied and covers all areas of the community. Of course, a Cosmic website is built so that it is easier to maintain and change the content so that you can keep your users bang up to date with your latest news.

One smaller business that has benefitted from our personal and bespoke approach is Eleanor Yeo. Eleanor is a florist with over ten years of experience working on wedding and events across the South West. She concentrates on giving her clients the attention they deserve and where possible buys British flowers or grows them herself. She needed a website which showcased her work and looked great as well. As part of their induction into Cosmic, our apprentices had the opportunity to work with various different clients to develop their understanding of our business and give them a chance to explore working with a real client. Eleanor’s website was one of our first to be developed through the pilot business scheme and we’re as happy with it as she it!

Over the years we’ve worked with a huge range of organisations and businesses, from schools to medical practices and Peter Simcock is one of these. Peter Simcock (AKA The Eye Expert) provides treatment for various eye conditions from his purpose built centre on the outskirts of Exeter. He’d never had a website for his practice before and so came as a complete newcomer. For Peter, one of his main concerns was that potential patients may be unable to read the website and therefore needed a more bespoke solution to fit his audience’s needs. Peter’s website text can be made bigger or smaller by the user to adapt to their sight making it accessible for potential and existing clients. “I wished to develop a website for my private medical practice that was informative and easy for patients to access.
