Cosmic Tweets a Donation to Beehive Community Centre

This morning the Cosmic team gathered to celebrate and make its official donation to the Beehive Community Centre which is being built this year here in Honiton.

The Friends of the Beehive charity has been fundraising since March to raise the first milestone of £30,000 and with building works just about to begin, a last minute call through social media (Twitter) brought the plight to the attention of Cosmic’s Chief Executive, Julie Hawker. ‘We noticed the plea on Twitter and as a social enterprise ourselves, dedicated to supporting the use of IT in the community, we were delighted to help support the aims of the new Beehive community building’

The Beehive community really needs the funds to make the building fit for purpose – the funds will be used to equip the building with screens for the Community Cinema, a sound system for our local choir and others exciting community groups.

Cosmic is based in the East Devon Business Centre on Heathpark, feels very much part of the Honiton community. Alongside developing high quality websites and e-marketing support, they deliver a lot of free training from the Business centre for the community locally. ‘We’ve created our Happy Hour which businesses and the community can come along for free to learn more about Cosmic and how IT can help you.
