Yesterday, the Cosmic team were out in force at River Cottage HQ near Axminster and welcomed guests from businesses around the area with the aim of sharing learning and experiences of social media used by River Cottage.
Our audience ranged from the small local B&Bs (one of 
which is heavily reliant on River Cottage for its customers), right through to one of the regions largest and most successful retail businesses, Axminster Tool Centre.
The experiences shared from River Cottage and presented by Cosmic’s Kate Doodson included reflections on the overall Social Media Strategy, approaches to Sales & Marketing (mainly for events), Campaigning and also Crisis Management/Business Continuity – a reflection on experiences following the fire which caused significant damage to a barn building on the site in February of this year.
Each of these individual sections of the case study shared particular lessons learned and top tips for other businesses. There was plenty of interaciton and questions with our Panel – Graeme from River Cottage, Fiona and Stuart, Cosmic’s own Digital Mentors.
The team is now working on a number of social media case studies from local businesses of various sectors, sizes and models to share with others and to encourage further developments.
