Charities in the Digital Age | Cosmic Skip to main content

At the start of 2019 the Cosmic team were invited by DCMS to run a short programme of training designed to increase Digital Leadership skills within the charity sector. Having very strong links in place with many of the region’s leading charities, we were able to recruit ten organisations to the programme in a very short timescale. In turn, this allowed us to design and deliver the project in fast-track version of our existing Digital Leadership Programme.

Charities we worked with - Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Living Options Devon, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Dorset Mental Health Forum, Age UK Plymouth, Help & Care, Broadreach House, Plymouth Music Zone, Libraries Unlimited, Exeter Drug Project

From early February until end the of March we delivered a total of 29 workshops to 92 individuals. Each charity involved also benefitted from a huge level of training, support and mentoring, with a specific focus on the development of a digital strategy through the effective review People, Process and Technology. Feedback from the programme has been very positive and we now look forward to working with all of these charities to support their next steps.

“This course has been immensely valuable for us individually, as a team and as an organisation. Demanding, informative, inspiring and challenging, the course has stretched us and given us the tools to enter the vortex of transformation to the digital world. We are looking forward to the journey ahead.” Becky Aldridge, Chief Executive, Dorset Mental Health Forum.

Kate Doodson, Joint CEO of Cosmic describing her involvement in the programme:

“Being able to swiftly and effectively move into development and design of new training programmes is a real credit to the team at Cosmic. The quality of our engagement with the charities and their very positive feedback on the programme has once again demonstrated how much Cosmic can bring to key sectors and their people. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and the opportunity to evolve our digital leadership training service to this important sector.”

The programme builds on our work here at Cosmic in recent years to develop effective and high-quality learning programmes for people in senior decision-making roles and leading in the digital age. We now look forward to delivering more of this programme in the coming months and will be delighted to hear from anyone keen to learn more. Please do get in touch.
