6 questions for new team member Susanna Robson

Susanna Robson

Susanna Robson is one of Cosmic's newest members of staff, so we asked her some questions about herself so you can get to know her a little bit better.

What do you do here at Cosmic?

I am a Digital Change Coach for the Positive People Project in Devon. The aim of the project is to enable those who are disadvantaged to be supported in building confidence and skills so they can have a sense of hope for their future.

What’s your favourite part about the job, and what are you most excited about doing?

I have a real passion for supporting people and helping them achieve their objectives. Therefore, my favourite part of the job is supporting people and allowing them to feel empowered into making their life better. I am most excited about being part of this journey and seeing the confidence and self-belief these individuals will achieve.

What do you like most about Cosmic?

The staff – Everybody has been friendly and I already feel part of the team. I enjoy the ethos of the Cosmic and feel that everybody who works here embodies the values. It makes a new member of staff feel very comfortable and at ease to ask questions.

What is the most interesting thing about you or that you have done?

Previously to working at Cosmic, I was a teacher for 16 years but didn’t complete my first degree in Teaching. First, I did a BSc in Marine Biology and Zoology. During my time at university I travelled to Indonesia and spent a few months traveling around the coral reefs and surveying them. However, I have always loved helping people and so went into primary teaching. I loved supporting the minds of the future and seeing the world through their eyes.

Are you Apple or Android?

I am Apple. I love the connectivity and ease of transferring everything from one device to another. However, I am learning to use an Android telephone for work so you never know - I may end up changing my mind!

What are your hobbies or interests?

I love walking my dogs on the beach and running with my dog Holly. I have 2 lab/collie cross', and I love them to pieces.

I really enjoy baking - especially cake making for friends and families birthdays and celebrations. I've done a Pokémon cake, iPhone cake, TMNT (turtle cake), rainbow cake and many more! I recently participated in a Macmillan Coffee and Cake morning, that was enjoyable and rewarding! I also love a good action film - Bad Boys and Die Hard are two of my favourites!
