6 questions for new team member Simon Goode

Simon Goode is one of Cosmic's newest members of staff, so we asked him some questions about himself so you can get to know him a little bit better.

1. What do you do here at Cosmic?

I am a Digital Change coach covering North, East and Mid Devon. This role is part of the Positive People’s Project.

2. What’s your favourite part about the job, and what are you most excited about doing?

I have a passion for helping people develop and reach the next stage of their lives. This is a role which allows me to do that on a larger scale than I have done previously. Another real passion of mine is digital accessibility and assistive technology. Being able to open doors for people that may not have had opportunity to do so in the past is extremely exciting for me!

3. What do you like most about Cosmic?

As mentioned above, digital accessibility is something that is important to me. As an organisation, Cosmic shares this passion and provides opportunity for people to access the digital world and break down barriers.

4. What is the most interesting thing about you or that you have done?

I have been to Africa twice. On my first trip I visited Kenya where I spent some time at Footprints Orphanage and followed this up by visiting a Masai Tribe. On my second visit I went to South Africa where I spent 3 weeks driving a little white VW Polo and sleeping in a 2-man tent. Most of this time was spent driving round national parks looking for wildlife. We did cheat on camping and spent 2 days at the location where “Wild at Heart” was filmed!

5. Are you Apple or Android?

Android for the simple fact that when I took out my contract it was cheaper!

6. What are your hobbies or interests?

I love to walk, particularly on Dartmoor. I am also a huge Man Utd fan – which is sure to divide opinion! I am also a general sports fan.
