Julie leads the strategic work for Cosmic, combining her strong skills in strategic planning, project design and networking with a real passion for our work.
She is an enthusiast for the ways in which digital technologies will improve businesses, organisations and lives in the coming years, and regularly speaks on these subjects at local, regional and national events. Julie contributes to the development and delivery of major consultancy projects at Cosmic, and is learning director and trainer on our digital leadership programme.
Julie works in a variety of roles at national, regional and local levels to improve the collaboration in advancing digital skills, digital transformation for businesses, and also the economic environment for social enterprise, keeping a sharp focus on digital inclusion and its benefits to the wider economy.
Julie is also Board member with the SW Business Council, the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Bank of England Panel in the region, and Board member for the Exeter & Heart of Devon Skills Partnership. She has also played a major role in the development of the LEP’s new Digital Skills Partnership for Devon & Somerset. Julie is a regular contributor to business schools at both Exeter and Plymouth Universities, particularly on digital business and social enterprise. She also supports work at many of the local schools and colleges in their understanding of the importance of strong digital skills and apprenticeship opportunities.
