Jamie joined Cosmic in January 2013 and completed a year-long apprenticeship in Business Administration – he was then offered a full-time role at the company within the web team.
Jamie’s role sees him building websites for businesses, non-profits and sole traders all around the South West and beyond, as well as providing support for existing website customers on the use of their content management systems, search engine optimisation and pay-per-click advertising. In addition to this, Jamie also meets with prospective new clients to discuss their requirements for new websites, and then acting as the main point-of-contact throughout the design, development and aftercare stages. He also contributes to the Cosmic blog, writing about the topics he practices each day at work.
Jamie prides himself in being able to share knowledge in an easily digestible manner to his clients, as well as being able to work with inspiring companies and individuals all over the world.
Before joining the Cosmic team, Jamie studied at Exmouth Community College, gaining A-Levels in English Language, French and Media. He also worked in a kitchen for over 4 years whilst at college and for a short time afterwards before venturing into the world of IT.
Outside of work, Jamie regularly takes trips up north to see his favourite football team Manchester United, as well as (badly) playing golf at East Devon Golf Club. Jamie has also been a keen blogger for over 10 years, running multiple blogs on various topics that he is interested in such as football and music.
