My name is Ieuan Griffiths, and I am pleased to have joined Cosmic as Head of Finance in 2024. As a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, I have had the opportunity to work across most areas of finance throughout my career.
I began my career training as an accountant with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. Later, I moved to London, where I spent the majority of my career in the City of London. I initially worked for the Corporation of Lloyds, regulating the Lloyds insurance market, before moving on to HSBC, where I spent 15 years, followed by 7 years at Lloyds Banking Group, and a year at RBS. My experience in banking, particularly in wholesale and international banking, afforded me the opportunity to undertake short-term projects in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
In addition to being a qualified corporate treasurer, I served as Divisional Finance Director for the Lloyds corporate treasury department during the HBOS acquisition. In 2011, I relocated to the West Country for family reasons. After spending seven years with a small financial services company in Exeter, I worked for the last five years with Viridor, focusing on business transformation projects while leading the finance operations team and building a risk and internal controls platform.
I am excited to bring my experience to this new role and look forward to contributing to the continued success of our organisation.
