During this critical time, many people are having to adjust to a new way of life and a new way of working. We’ve prepared a number of articles that might help you settle into the new routine over the coming days and weeks. Feel free to share them with your colleagues and friends.
If you are having to work at home in the weeks ahead then why not make the most of the situation and do things, alongside business-critical activities, that you might have been putting off for a while. This could include:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - Use this time to do some self-development and learning using the host of online material now available. Think about the skills you've been wanting to develop, particularly the digital ones, and find time over coffee or lunch to review and consider a plan for home-based-online-CPD.
Business Plan Review – This is a great time to review your plans for the coming year and particularly how resilient and agile those plans will prove in the face of challenges we face. This might include prolonged experience of the Coronavirus, but also consider digital disruption in your business sector, the impact of automation on your plans and other specific service or product related issues.
Training Needs Analysis - Have a good look at your business plan and identify the needs for your wider team in their skills development for the years ahead. What gaps are there? What re-training programmes will you need?
Digital Marketing Audit - A good exercise will be to conduct a full review of your current digital marketing work - Website, SEO, Social Networks, sector-specific channels, e-newsletters, chatbots, etc. Take this time to review how effectively they are working for your business and develop an improvement plan.
