Kate is one of Cosmic's newest members of staff, so we asked her 6 questions all about her role, and a bit about herself too.

What do you do here at Cosmic?
Hi, I’m Kate, and I work as the Marketing Executive here at Cosmic.
I help promote all our projects, events, case studies, web design and IT support, and do this on several different channels from social media to email.
I love that the work is so varied, and I’m really looking forward to getting my teeth into a bit of everything! The people I’ve met are so lovely, and it really feels like a warm and welcoming environment.

What’s your favourite part about the job, and what are you most excited about doing?
My favourite part of the job so far has been meeting everyone and getting to know their roles and work. Seeing their enthusiasm for the business is really great, and I’m eager to get started.
I’m most excited about working with everyone, to help promote Cosmic and all the great work we do here.
As I’ll be working on social media, email, and other channels, it’s great to see them all working together to share our great cause.

What do you like most about Cosmic?
I really like that Cosmic is a social enterprise. I like that this is such an important part of the business, and the focus on being environmentally friendly as well is a key thing for me.
The people I’ve met are all friendly and lovely, and I’m excited to start working with them.

What is the most interesting thing about you or that you have done?
I think the most interesting thing I’ve done so far is write a novel. It’s fantasy, because I love reading that genre, and it’s the first book in a series, so I’m looking forward to writing the whole series!
I also write poetry, and I’m getting a little book of poetry published.

What’s your favourite piece of digital technology at home or in your pocket?
It’s a toss-up between my phone and my iPad to be honest. I’m going to go with my iPad though, which I just use for everything. From checking out my blog and social media channels, to using it to create fonts, art, and doodles, and of course watching Netflix and Disney! It also keeps me in touch with all my friends – thanks Messenger!

What are your hobbies or interests?
I have a lot of interests and hobbies! My main ones are reading and writing. I love fantasy and science fiction and share all my reads and reviews on Instagram. In my spare time I write on my blog, both general blog posts and poetry, as well as sharing my bullet journal spreads. I also love art and design and dabble in everything from watercolours to embroidery. I have written a novel, which I’m in the process of editing. Who knows, maybe it’ll be published one day!
