Gloria is one of Cosmic's newest members of staff, so we asked her 6 questions all about her role, and a bit about herself too.
1. What do you do here at Cosmic?
Digital Trainer for the Restart Project covering Devon & Somerset. Providing digital training to those people requiring digital skills and who are on the Restart programme and have been out of work for 12 - 18 months.
2. What’s your favourite part about the job, and what are you most excited about doing?
It will definitely be the training part and helping people gain skills they need to get back into the work place. Giving people the tools to achieve something they need is the best feeling ever.
3. What do you like most about Cosmic?
So far, it’s the team! Everyone is really onboard with the ethos of Cosmic - that’s something that can’t be taken for granted. It’s also refreshing that if I have a question, there is always someone there to help and to answer it.
4. What is the most interesting thing about you or that you have done?
I think meeting Mother Teresa must to up there. She came to my secondary school. She was diminutive. I can’t stress how small in height she was, but boy did she make an impact on the world!
5. What’s your favourite piece of digital technology at home or in your pocket?
I love Apple products, so I have to go for my iphone 12. I love everything about it. It’s ease of operation; how it syncs with my other Apple devices and the beauty of Apple products.
6. What are your hobbies or interests?
Travelling (when we are more freely able to - and by any mode, car, boat, plane or train), walking (I walk everywhere I can), reading (I’ve been known to even read newspapers from years ago when I’ve supposed to have been putting them down for decorating purposes!) I love all types of the printed word, fiction, fact etc. Keeping up to date with technology, socialising with family and friends. Perfume - I love it! The aroma, the artistry that goes into making it - you’ll find me in the perfume section of the duty free, every time! Eating out! Going to the theatre - there’s nothing like a live performance.
And snow - I love it when it snows.
