Cosmic have started the search for our 2017 ‘Charity of the Year’. We launched the Charity of the Year campaign last year when we asked the general public to nominate their chosen charities; we then decided on six finalists and let the public complete a final vote as to who our charity of the year was going to be.
Our chosen charity, voted by you was Headway Devon who we have been supporting throughout the past year in numerous ways.
Over the past year we have provided Headway Devon a variety of digital support including, a social media and SEO review, digital mentoring and production of a video case study. Take a look at the video here:
Alongside offering Headway our services, we also helped them by carrying out fundraising. When totalled up, the services Cosmic provided and our fundraising efforts have raised total of £2,051.00 for the charity.

As a social enterprise, we are used to giving people a helping hand by investing our own profits in reducing digital exclusion across the South West, but we are now giving you that chance to choose the primary charity which we will be supporting for 2017. The chosen charity will benefit from a wide range of digital support and also from our fundraising activities.
We are looking for any charity, big or small, based in the South West that benefit local people through their activities.
Nominations open on the17th October 2016 and will close on 21st November 2016 when all nominated charities will be shortlisted. We will then ask the public to vote for their preferred charity. Once the shortlist is announced on the 28th November, the online vote will be open for just two weeks and the winning charity will be announced on 12th December.
We received a total of 215 nominations last year, so hopefully we will receive lots of nominations for great local charities again this year!
