Alicia Harrington is the most recent addition to the Cosmic roster.
We pitched Alicia our six introductory questions - the same questions that Schools IT Manager Paul recently answered.
1. What do you do here at Cosmic?
I am Cosmic’s new digital marketing apprentice, my role at Cosmic is varied, I normally check social media and reply to any tweets/comments, I will then do the social media scheduling on all platforms. I also create visuals to go out on social media using Canva and Photoshop and carry out general office/admin jobs and answering the phones.
2. What’s your favourite part about the job, and what are you most excited about doing?
My favourite part of the job is how much I am getting to learn, everybody in the Cosmic team is so great at what they do and they have all taught me so much already. I also love going out to events and listening to lots of different talks on so many different topics.
3. What do you like most about Cosmic?
The best thing about Cosmic is definitely the team, everybody is so friendly. Joining the team so close to the Cosmic’s 20th birthday made me nervous, meeting everybody at once! But it was great, everybody was really welcoming and since they have all been really supportive and helpful.
4. What is the most interesting thing about you or that you have done?
The most interesting thing that I have ever done is probably that I was one of the first people to get to look around the London Olympic grounds and all of the venues whilst they were still being completed. I was 15 and won a national schools business competition in a team with 5 others, we got to spend the day there and also got a trip to Switzerland to see the Olympic museum.
5. Are you Apple or Android?
That’s difficult! I have always been an Apple user for the ease of use and how slick and good looking all Apple products are. But recently I have become stuck on the fence and am beginning to think I should give Android a chance as more of my friends and family have started to use Android products and are raving about how good they are. Samsung’s camera quality is also tempting me!
6. What are your hobbies or interests?
My main hobby is horse riding, I have been riding since I was 4 I have my own horse and I enjoy competing regularly, mainly in show jumping. I do also enjoy photography, hockey and athletics and have always been pretty sporty.
