The Venus Awards are a global annual awards ceremony that celebrates the success of working women in business. Last year, Cosmic’s Joint CEO Julie Hawker won ‘Director of the Year’ at the Devon Venus Awards which was a great achievement.
This year Cosmic have carried their success into 2016 as both Julie and Kate were nominated in different categories. This year Kate made it as a finalist for Inspirational women in STEM and Julie was nominated for Employer of the Year, which we are extremely proud to say she won.
The Venus Awards are well sought after and attract a range of inspirational women leaders in various different fields each year, so to have been shortlisted and to win has been a great achievement.
We asked Julie to share how she felt when she won Employer of the Year at the 2016 Venus Devon Awards. Julie said, “It was a real thrill to win another Venus Devon award this year, and the Employer of the Year award is one which I’m sharing with all my colleagues and the Board at Cosmic in recognition of what a great team we make, and particularly my Joint CEO Kate Doodson. It’s so good to have to have our approach to employing and supporting staff recognised in this way and a major tribute to all the hard work which has gone into making sure Cosmic is a great place to work.”
This is another brilliant success for Julie and the whole team at Cosmic are extremely proud of both Julie and Kate for their accomplishment in this year’s Devon Venus Awards in such great categories.
