A Google Chromecast is a simple device which allows the user to stream what is on your Android, Windows or Apple device straight to a TV. This includes presentations, videos, music, streaming apps such as Netflix and Now TV and even games. It is a cheap device which encompasses many uses and solutions.

You have the option to download ‘Local cast’ on your smartphone. This enables you to have the video element of what you are watching on your TV whilst keeping the audio coming from your smartphone or tablet.

Guest mode – If you have guests which you would not like to give access to the Wi-Fi but are more than happy for them to have free reign over the TV, you can change the settings on the Chromecast to ‘Guest mode’, allowing anyone with a Google Cast Ready app that's open within a certain distance of the Chromecast to connect once the option shows up on their device.
