Junkbox Summary Reports

All users receive a Junkbox Summary report at regular intervals, usually every day, though the interval can be changed to suit your preference. The Junkbox Summary is a special e-mail message that displays a list of all mail that has been blocked and held in quarantine waiting for you to take action on them.

At the left of each blocked email listed in the summary, you can select Unjunk or View. Clicking Unjunk will deliver the message to your inbox. By clicking View however, you have the safety of being able to preview a message, in plain text format, without actually unjunking it. So if you are unsure what kind of message it is, using View is advisable. You can always Unjunk it afterwards if you decide it is a genuine legitimate e-mail. Unjunking an email will add the sender to your Allowed List, and no further messages will be stopped from them.

If you take no action they will automatically be deleted after 15 days.

You can visit your Junkbox at any time by simply clicking the ‘Visit Junkbox’ link from within a recent Junkbox Summary.

Permitting Mail From Trusted Sources

Allowed Lists ensure that legitimate e-mail from trusted friends and customers is not incorrectly classified as spam. You can add either single e-mail addresses or entire domains to your Allowed Lists for those people and companies whose email you normally trust.

Allowed Lists are also generated automatically, based on e-mail you send. Each time you send an e-mail, the recipient is automatically added to your Allowed List. This saves you time by removing the need to manually maintain the list.

To add to your Allowed List, select ‘Anti-Spam Techniques’, then select ‘People’ or ‘Companies’, and click ‘Add’.

A smaller window will open where you can then enter the appropriate e-mail address (person) or domain name (company), clicking ‘Add’ to save each new addition to your Allowed List.

The Blocked List operates in exactly the same way as the Allowed List.

Report Frequency

By default everyone receives a Junkbox Summary on a daily basis. If you wish, you can change the timing, language, or any other parameters of the Summary, select Settings and select Junkbox Summary.

You can change the frequency of Junkbox Summaries, what time of day, or day of week you'd like to receive them. You can even set the language and format, or opt to have them sent to a delegate instead. You can also choose to be notified of just likely junk instead of definite junk.Remember to click Apply Changes when done.
